Emotional Awareness for AI

Emotionally aware, privacy-first AI for care and human-facing systems.

SECE-MedAssist | Research direction for emotionally aware, privacy-first AI in care and human-facing systems.

Emotionally aware AI for care, continuity, and human dignity.

This project explores how AI can respond with emotional context, local memory, and ethical restraint | especially in medical, caregiving, and long-term support environments.

The site is organized so readers can move quickly to the path most relevant to them: families, caregivers, developers, collaborators, or institutional reviewers.

Who the site is for

Each section is written for a different kind of reader so the project is easier to understand and evaluate.

Seniors & Families

Why emotional awareness matters in daily support, trust, and dignity for older adults and the people who care about them.

Caregivers

How supportive systems can reduce friction, respect vulnerability, and stay aligned with human caregiving values.

Developers

The architecture themes, technical direction, and implementation questions behind emotionally aware human-facing AI.

What the project is building

Project pillars visual A five-card visual summarizing the core project pillars: emotion-aware systems, continuity, local memory, context sensitivity, and ethical guardrails. Research pillars The project is organized around five design commitments. Emotion-aware Meaning includes tone, vulnerability, and trust. Continuity Interactions should feel stable across time. Local memory Sensitive context should stay under user control. Context-sensitive Responses adapt to state, setting, and risk. Ethical guardrails Dignity, safety, and human handoff stay central.

Current work

The site now captures both the conceptual framework and the technical bridge work already underway.

SECE Framework

A concise explanation of the project?s core principles: emotional awareness, continuity, privacy, context sensitivity, and ethical guardrails.

Vital Recorder Interface

Documented August 3, 2026 work connecting Vital Recorder output to the SECE / Qualia layer, including a downloadable static demo package.

Research, collaboration, and evaluation

This is meant to be a serious, reviewable project | not just a concept statement. Researchers, builders, institutions, and careful readers should be able to see where the work is headed and how to engage with it.
